Meet
Mike Madrigal
Mike Madrigal is not just a candidate—he’s a product of Bakersfield’s community. Having grown up in the city, Mike attended Ridgeview High School and Bakersfield College, setting the foundation for his future as a leader in both business and public service.
Mike’s professional journey began when he was still a student. He worked his way up at his current company, where he now manages three major operations and leads a team of 25, all while overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget. His experience in business management gives him the unique insight to navigate the complexities of leadership, problem-solving, and fiscal responsibility.
But Mike’s leadership isn’t just limited to the business world. He served over nine years in the United States Marine Corps, with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. During his time in the military, Mike was recognized for his courage with a decoration for valor and received a Purple Heart for wounds sustained in Afghanistan. These experiences taught him the values of sacrifice, discipline, and service to others—qualities that he brings to everything he does.
Family plays a central role in Mike’s life. He has been married to his wife, Eileen, for 18 years, and together they are raising three daughters, all of whom currently attend Stockdale High School. As a father, Mike is deeply committed to building a better future for his children and for all families in Bakersfield.
When he’s not working or volunteering in the community, Mike has been actively involved in local Republican campaigns, advocating for conservative values and a stronger Bakersfield. He has also served as the second vice-chair of the Kern Young Republicans and has been a proud presenter at Lincoln Day events and other community gatherings.
Mike’s heart is in Bakersfield, and his campaign is focused on creating a safer, more vibrant community for generations to come.
